Gunman robs student on Crown Street


A 21-YEAR-OLD student of Kitty, Georgetown was robbed by a gunman of his gold jewellery and cash at Crown and New Garden Streets, Alberttown.

Reports indicate that the student and friend went to a food outlet at Camp and Middle Streets at 20:00 hrs and after leaving, they decided to walk east along Middle Street when they noticed a burgundy Toyota Allion motorcar that was parked on the roadway.

As they continue their walk reaching Crown Street, the vehicle appeared again and two occupants were seen inside.

The student and his friends continued walking and a man exited the vehicle and approached the student, while pulling a handgun from his waist.

The friend immediately ran off and the robber stripped the student of all his valuables, jumped into the burgundy car and made good his escape.

The student was robbed of two gold bands, one ray-bans shades, and $25,000 cash, among other items. The robbery was reported to the police as investigations continue.
