A 21-year-old porter of Port Kaituma was on Tuesday released on $70,000 bail by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan for the offence of unlawful wounding.

Particulars of the charge alleged that Kevin Williams on December 8 at Water Front, Port Kaituma, unlawful and maliciously wounded Raywatram Bersooku.

According to reports the two parties were consuming alcohol when an argument ensued, causing Williams to arm himself with a bottle and knock Bersooku unconscious.
The matter was transferred to the Matthews Ridge Magistrates’ Court.
