POLICE are investigating the discovery of the body of a 22-year-old woman in a trench at Number 4 Village, West Coast Berbice.

Dead is Marissa Fraser of Number 4 Village. Police suspect that the woman was murdered and her body dumped into the canal; as the body bore several stab wounds. Up to press time the police were still carrying out their investigations and have arrested a man.
