‘Freedom House 3’ hold one head

–plead innocent to showering Freddie Kissoon with faeces

THE infamous trio fingered in the May 24, 2010 throwing of faces on newspaper columnist, Freddie Kissoon, on Friday swore that they had nothing to do with the incident.
All three men chose to give an unsworn statement when called upon to lead their defence before Principal Magistrate,Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

Kwame McCoy, the former presidential frontman under the PPP administration said in his defence:“I never participated at any time in the contemplation, support or execution of an assault on Freddie Kissoon. I’m innocent; this is a fabrication against me.”

Jason Abdulla, on the other hand, said he was beaten by the police into confessing to the crime, and given a statement to sign although he had no knowledge of its contents until he was brought before the court and charged.

As to Sean Hinds, the self-proclaimed death squad member, he, like his partners in crime, denied having anything to do with assaulting Kissoon.

With all three defendants refusing to call any witnesses, the matter was adjourned until December 1 for Police Prosecutor,Shawn Gonsalves and the attorneys to make their closing arguments.

McCoy is represented by Attorney-at-Law Latchmie Rahamat; Abdulla by Glen Hanoman; and Hinds by George Thomas.
