THREE men armed with shotguns on Thursday robbed a Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke- Linden Highway businesswoman and her husband in their variety store.

Reports indicate that the businesswoman resides in a two-storey wooden and concrete structure which also houses her business in the lower flat. At midday on Thursday, the bandits kicked in the southern entrance and rushed into the business place.

Upon seeing the armed men, the businesswoman fled through another door and rushed over to the neighbour’s yard, leaving her husband behind. The robbers then demanded cash and jewellery from the husband and started to beat him about the body before ransacking the businessplace.

After taking cash and valuables from the store, the men then fled in a silver-grey Toyota Premio.
