UNDER-11 action in the Smalta Girls’ football tournament has been postponed until next week according to a release from the organisers yesterday.

The sixteen-team tournament which was expected to begin today had to be postponed on account of the Guyana Football Federation’s (GFF) hosting of the FIFA Women’s Day activities.

According to the release, the tournament will now take place on Saturday November 25 2017.

Launched earlier this week, the tournament is being held in partnership with the ministries of Education and Public Health. The theme of the event is: Educating young girls against the Human Papilloma Virus.
