WITH the days counting down to the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) International Race of Champions, one competitor is already licking his chops to get his hands on one of the local titles.

Motilall Deodass, better known as Kevin, is in prime position to win the 2017 Toyota Starlet cup to be hosted by the GMR&SC this weekend.
“Yes, I am the current leader of the Starlet Cup 2017 championship, but there is still a lot more to do to take it. There are two whole days of racing before anyone can be crowned champion.”

He added, “At the moment, I want to take every race as it comes to ensure that we make the best of them and get maximum points.”
“We know there are some strong competitors in the group like Rameez Mohamed and Allan Da Silva, but we also have to be cognizant of the new-comers in the group,” Deodass continued.

He noted that at the moment, the car is working well but there are definitely some areas that need to be tightened up on.
“I think a little more seat team can’t possibly hurt for me as a driver and I think in this week leading up to the race meet, I will be trying to get some more seat time.”
