Editor’s note

This week, we celebrate many things; a woman who revels in the rich cultural beauty of Africa and uses that inspiration to create beautiful pieces of Guyanese art; a young man who, due to one closed door found an amazing opportunity to follow his dreams elsewhere; another man’s struggle to rise above his addiction and rid his life of drugs; and the work of a group of young persons who are working to revive a beloved ritual in Hindu culture, much to the joy of an enthused local audience. It is the celebrations highlighted in these and other stories in this week’s Pepperpot that often instil in us bits of inspiration so that we too can strive to achieve our own dreams. As such, we hope that these stories help you to celebrate as well.
