A 46-YEAR-OLD farmer was on Wednesday remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan for murder.

Charles Leonard called ‘Poon’ was not required to plead to the charge which alleged that between October 5 and October 6, at 5 Mile, Port Kaituma, he murdered Romel Gouveia called ‘White Boy.’
Police prosecutor, Arwin Moore, did not relate the facts in court. The Chief Magistrate remanded the unrepresented man until November 3 and transferred the matter to the Mathews Ridge Magistrate Court.
