THE winds are already blowing ahead of the storm at the GFC ground, Bourda where Police FC will take on hosts GFC in the final of the Corona Beer Invitational football tournament.

The duo met yesterday at the GFC pavilion to trade their respective barbs ahead of the tense clash set for this Sunday.
According to the captain of the GFC side Shaquille Bowen, they are ready and raring to go.
“In short, we all want to win. We are hungry and determined to win. I think we are all mature enough to understand the importance of playing football and not taking our opponents for granted.”
Meanwhile, the Police team, who are without several key players, will be calling on their bench according to captain Dwyane Jacobs.
“They are very key players but when it comes to football, you must have replacements and we have replacements. We have replacement players that have to come off the bench and step up.”
Jacobs noted that they are going to go back to the drawing board having succumbed to the Police once in the tournament before.
Meanwhile, co-Director of the Petra Organisation Troy Mendonca contended that the tournament sponsors have been phenomenal in the sport.
He added that the quality of the tournament was high, also lauding the commitment of all the teams who continued to turn up after they were out of the top four.
The Police FC will confront their GFC counterparts on Sunday from 21:00hrs to determine the top team in the inaugural tournament.
Both teams will have a million reasons to emerge winners of the tournament. The earlier third-place playoff between Western Tigers and Northern Rangers begins at 19:00hrs.
