BRYCE Prince and Kristian Jeffrey were in absolute flying form to qualify on pole in their respective groups for today’s third round of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championships (CMRC) at the Bushy Park Raceway in Barbados.

Bryce, who rides under the Mohamed’s enterprise banner, was all business on Saturday with a blistering 1:02.550 seconds time ahead of fellow Guyanese Rider, Kevin Graham.
Third on the grid was Trinidadian Luke De Nobrega with a 1:08.137 with Barbadian Shirley Scantlebury fourth and Trinidad’s Nicholas Gonzalves fifth.
Speaking exclusively to Chronicle Sport, Prince said that he is keen on continuing his dominance.

Kristian Jeffrey (second from right) poses with his mechanics Orry Hunte (third from Right) and Brian Ten-Pow (fourth from right) and his father Kevin (Second from right). Kristian will start the Radicals on pole position.

“I think the track really suits me, it’s a lot of fun. I do enjoy the track, the layout is really nice, the weather here is great and the bike is working phenomenal, so I don’t have any complaints.”
Meanwhile, Jeffrey who is back in the Radicals, posted a 58.318 seconds time which was two-tenths of a second quicker than hometown rival, Mark Maloney, who posted a 58.575 time in a field separated by tenths and hundredths of seconds.

He spoke to Chronicle Sport saying that,” I am optimistic about tomorrow, I think that we can keep that position, but we will have to see how it goes. I’m hoping for the best.”
In other qualifying results, Rameez Mohamed had brake issues which meant that he could only qualify 8th on the grid with a 1:10.1 time for the Group Three class.
Pole position will see Suleman Esuf of Barbados in the pole position ahead of Trinidad’s Krsitian Boodoosingh and Ronald Worthman, respectively.

In the Group Four 4-wheel-drive class, Kyle Gregg will start on pole with a 59.2 seconds time ahead of hometown hero, Roger ‘De Focus’ Mayers with a 59.3 seconds time with Doug Maloney third and Andrew King fourth.
Meanwhile, in the two-wheel-drive end of things, Barry Mayers starts on pole ahead of Peter Rae.
Today’s event begins at 08:00hrs
