HERO MotoCorp, India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has entered the Guyanese market, through Rose Ramdehol Auto Sales as the exclusive distributor.

The official confirmation was made public yesterday with the launching ceremony held at the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC), Albert Street in Georgetown.
At the launching ceremony, it was revealed that the Hero Glamour, known as Ignitor, in Central and South American countries, along with the Hero – 110 Scooter, Hero Hunk and Hero Dawn will be available to Guyanese.

Indian High Commissioner to Guyana, Venkatachalam Mahalingam, sits on one of the display Hero motorcycles after the official launching, as other officials share the moment.

According to Joshua Ramdehol, the company intends to establish eight dealers within the next twelve months countrywide, with the aim of shaping up the industry with the new products. He noted that the company will provide two years manufacturing warranty for each of the products.
Ramdehol said it’s definitely an honour to be the exclusive distributor of Hero two-wheelers, adding that the investment comes after intensive research.

“After months of research, we decided Hero has many things in common with the company’s ideology, hence we decided to partner and invest with them,” the young Ramdehol revealed.
Indian High Commissioner to Guyana, Venkatachalam Mahalingam, who graced the occasion, trusts that the venture taken by Rose Ramdehol Auto Sales and the Indian company will be one of great success.

Meanwhile, Jamie Stewart, Commercial Director of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL), indicated Hero MotoCorp is synonymous with some of the marquee sports partnerships in India as well as globally.

He noted that the New Delhi (India) headquarters has had a steadfast commitment towards promoting various disciplines of sports including cricket, golf, football and hockey.
Hero has been associated with cricket for over two decades in various capacities.
Also making brief remarks were Bank of Baroda Managing Director Arun Kumar Gupta and Scotiabank Branch Manager Abu Zaman.

For the past 14 consecutive years, the New Delhi-headquartered Hero MotoCorp has remained the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer in terms of unit volumes sold by a single company in a calendar year.
The company sold over 8 million two-wheelers in the last financial year.
