Buzzing this weekend

IT’S another three-day weekend! And this one is going to be a really exciting one, because the Independence celebrations are laced with soca vibes parties which literally start with the break of day this morning!
The Independence celebrations, of course, kicked off since last night with the flagraising ceremony!

But also breaking the day was the HJ Independence J’Ouvert Party at the National Park, which was considered “THE” party to be at for the Independence celebrations! If you missed it, then you missed it big-time!
But if you did, do not despair! The soca partying is far from finished! From Club 704 to Club Privilege, to Palm Court, there’s soca at all the top spots tonight!

That aside, **the ten Miss World Guyana ten finalists are finally going to be sashed tonight at Giftland, so you can go out and rep your favourite, or just check out the delegates vying to represent your country on the world stage later this year.
Independence celebrations continue with a boat cruise on Saturday, while a few UG students are also hosting a stress release campus jam at Palm Cour! Earlier in the day Palm Court is offering the best atmosphere to sit, chill and tune into the FA Cup finals!
