Colours/Guinness Street Football Challenge 2017 … Big wins for Celina’s All-Stars, Jermaine Silver Bullets

 

THERE were big wins for Dave and Celina All Stars as well as Jermaine and Family Silver bullets, as the Linden leg of the Guinness Greatest in the Streets football tournament continued on Thursday evening.
Dave and Celina All Stars overcame Amazings 3-0, with strikes from Rawle Gittens (3rd minute), Keon Sears (7th) and Kennard Simon (18th), as they continued in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Jermaine and Family Silver Bullets destroyed Eagles 4-0, thanks to Jermaine Lewis’ double in the 8th and 18th, while single strikes from Triston Ally (15th) and Damion Williams (19th) assisted the cause.
In the earlier games, Future Stars won 2-0 on penalties after their game against Trainline Warriors ended 1-1 at regulation.
Tshehedi Whitehead’s 7th minute goal looked set to take the Future Stars team to victory before Kellon Adams 19th minute equaliser.
In game two Team 25 overcame Coomacka 1-0, thanks to Tevin Crawford in the 8th, while game three ended with the same margin, thanks to a 17th minute strike from Phillp Austin who helped Cherokee take the win.
Amelia’s Ward Russians also entered the winners’ circle on Thursday evening with a 1-0 win over Main Street Panthers compliments of Travis Watterton’s 17th minute strike.
High Rollers beat Dream Chasers 1-0 by the same margin, thanks to Kendolph Lewis who scored in the 14th minute.
Swag Entertainment through Shane Luckie (15th and 16th) overwhelmed Good Fellas 3-0. Colwyn Drakes scored in the 2nd minute.
