THE horrific, deadly and chilling scenes blaring across televisions and other media from news organisations worldwide on the atrocities perpetrated against a rebel area in Syria transcends all barriers and borders.
The unleashing of a deadly chemical-gas attack on innocent civilians, including babies and children, is not only outrageous and heinous, but is also an ‘affront to humanity’ in the words of one world leader. This ghastly act must be condemned by all nations and peoples the world over. This is not the first time that a chemical attack has taken place in Syria. In August, 2013, a similar attack took place in Ghouta.
