Foreign student shot in attempted robbery at Cummings Lodge

Indian National, 28-year-old Brianard Revival is in a stable condition at a city hospital after he was shot in his left arm by a bandit, who attempted to rob him in Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara on Tuesday night.
According to the police, the incident occurred at approximately 23:50hrs at First Street, Cummings Lodge. Investigations have so far revealed that the foreign student of Second Street, Cummings Lodge was in his motor car with some friends, when he stopped at a junction and another car suddenly drove in front of him and stopped.
 
A male suspect, brandishing a handgun exited the back seat of the car, approached the student and demanded cash and valuables. The victim immediately sped away during which the suspect discharged his firearm, injuring him in the upper left arm.
 
No arrests have yet been made.
