THE Joint Services on Thursday staged a simulation exercise titled “Exercise Snapper 3,” designed to prepare ranks to be alert in the event of a robbery.
The exercise held at the John Fernandes Limited, Water Street, Georgetown wharf, aimed at implementing joint-command coordination, planning and tasking; response to armed robbery and joint operations; passage/ dissemination of information; emergency response; emergency evacuation drills; safety marshals’ responsibilities; and communications and changing of security levels.
John Fernandes Limited Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Philip Fernandes, thanked all the stakeholders who participated in the exercise, noting that the event was professionally managed.
“I think we had a successful exercise, no doubt in the debriefing there will be areas in the exercise that can be improved, but that is the whole purpose of the exercise, since if it was perfect, we didn’t need to do it,” the CEO said.
