TWO siblings, who were jointly charged for possession of cannabis and illegal gun and ammunition, appeared before City Magistrate Fabayo Azore on Wednesday to answer these charges.

Abindigo Bancroft and his younger sister, Shavel pleaded not guilty to the three charges when they were read to them. Particulars of the first charge alleged that the Bancroft siblings had 12 grams of cannabis in their possession on March 17, 2017 at Block ‘E’ Sophia, Georgetown.

The Magistrate released Shavel Bancroft on a total of $300,000 bail on the gun and ammunition charge and $75,000 bail on the narcotics charge. Additionally, Abindigo Bancroft was also released on $75,000 bail on the narcotics charge and remanded to prison on the illegal arms and ammunition charge.
