REFERENCE is made to article “Misinterpreted-Justice Pollard differs on third-term ruling”  (GC 18th, March 2017).

The opportunity is taken to commend Professor Justice Duke Pollard for adding his voice and legal weight behind retired Chief Justice (ag) Ian Chang’s decision on the constitutionality of the third term. It is always encouraging to hear from those who read the law through context, spirit and intent. As a people, we may not always agree, but when this quality of discourse forms part of the national discourse the society is better served. Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Basil Williams, is urged to pay heed to these level of public involvement.
