Following a successful day of testing yesterday, the club through president Rameez Mohamed confirmed to Chronicle Sport that everything is set and ready for the event.
“Today (yesterday) we sent our guys up early to ensure that the systems were working and in order to ensure that we have a smooth day of racing, and they have confirmed that they are ready,” he said.
The GMR&SC boss added that, “up to when I checked, we had about 70 registered competitors or thereabouts and it’s going to be an action packed day of racing. We have a special surprise for fans on race day and they are not going to want to miss this.”
“The Surinamese guys are here and they are itching for competition. They have already sent out stern warnings to the guys of the various classes but I have a feeling that our guys can hold their own.”
