Court hears… Argument at bar led to murder

JUSTICE Navindra Singh and a mixed jury at the Demerara Assizes yesterday heard how an argument at an East Bank bar one night in November, 2010 ended up with Randy Joseph being stabbed to death.The trial of murder accused, Antonia Jaisingh opened yesterday, with leading prosecutor Ms Tuanna Hardy telling about calling witnesses who would explain about the drinking, the arguments and the killing.

The accused, who has pleaded not guilty, is being represented by Ms Latchmi Rahamat.

The incident, which took place at Sara Johanna, East Bank Demerara, led to the accused being charged with having, between November 26 and 27, 2010, in the County of Demerara, murdered Randy Joseph.

The hearing is continuing.
