SEVEN women, among them foreign nationals, were arrested Sunday morning when the police descended on a city nightclub.During the raid, ranks also unearthed a small quantity of narcotics, including a gram of cocaine, for which one person has been arrested.
All hands are likely to be charged this week, the foreign nationals specifically for illegal entry and overstaying.
The ladies, who are suspected to be strippers at the club, are from The Dominican Republic and Cuba.
Last July, eleven suspected victims of human-trafficking were caught in a raid at the said nightclub.
According to reports, the women were also all over 18; were not Guyanese; and had no form of legal permits in the form of passports to be in the country.
It is suspected that these women also worked as strippers at the club in exchange for cash; that they hailed from The Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Brazil and Suriname. They were all charged and eventually deported.
