A WEST Ruimveldt man was on Friday placed on $40,000 bail by City Magistrate Faith McGusty, after he was charged for unlawful wounding.It is alleged that on April 9, 2016, Deon Turnhill wounded Wendell Padro, causing him actual bodily harm.

The facts of the matter were not stated.

However, Police Prosecutor Seon Blackman asked that the defendant be placed on reasonable bail.

The matter has been adjourned until February 14, 2017.
