St. Stephen’s finishes at the top of group D

AS the Smalta 11 and Under football tournament group stage came to end yesterday,some 8 teams will move forward to the quarterfinals.
In group A, North Georgetown finished at the top of the group despite being tied with West Ruimvedlt on 7 points. North Georgetown had a goal difference of plus 7 to West’s plus 6.
In the rest of the group,Winfer Gardens and Smith Memorial finished on 0 points and both had no contests since matches weren’t played.

In Group B, St Agnes, St Pius and South Ruimveldt all finished on 6 points but only St Agnes and St Pius moved forward since both had a goal difference of plus 6 to South’s plus 2. St Gabriel’s finished at the bottom of the group with 0 points.
In Group C, Enterprise and St Angela’s both qualified with 7 and 5 points respectively. F.E Pollard and Stella Maris finished at the bottom of the group with Pollard finishing on 4 points and Stella Maris on 0 points.

It was St Stephen’s that finished on top of group D with 9 points after winning all their games with a goal difference of plus 6. St Margaret’s, Tucville and Redeemer all finished on three points with St. Margaret’s qualifying with a goal difference of minus 2 to Tucville’s minus 4.
St Stephen’s also finished on top of all the groups with their excellent performances.
