FRUTA Conquerors FC have taken the leaders position of the GFF-Stag Elite League after cruising past Monedderlust FC 4-0 last Friday in the ‘nigh-cap’ played at Tucville Community ground.
Leon Richardson broke the deadlock in the 10th minute, and one minute after the first-half break Eon Alleyne opened his season’s account to make it 2-0. In the 65th minute ‘Super sub’ Kwame La Fleur made his presence felt, after coming off the bench six minutes earlier, with his 2nd goal of the season to give his side a 3-0 advantage.

Jermaine Junior made the final breach of the Monedderlust’s citadel seven minutes from the end with his 3rd goal of the competition and 7th for Conquerors whose goal is yet to be penetrated after three games.
The three points have propelled the Tucville based team to 7 points and to the top of the 6-team points’ table while the 2nd placed Army, on six points, have a game in hand. It was the 2nd loss for the West Berbice side who remain on 3 points.
