Coming soon… ‘GEM Top Professionals’ 2016 edition

GEM, the local entertainment ‘glossy’, will soon be releasing its 4th annual list of top professionals under the age of 40. GEM says in a release that the persons on the list includes persons who are considered top career-oriented individuals, entrepreneurs and other influential persons in the professional field.
According to GTVibes, the list comprises several well-known faces, among them a deputy mayor, a member of parliament, webmasters, dentists, event planners, media and marketing executives, comedians, an international model, an inspirational speaker and representatives of many other industries.
The 39 chosen individuals, who also grace the cover, were selected from a list put together by the magazine’s team, voluntary submissions and recommendations from clients and readers.
As has become the norm, nearly 100 hundred names were available to choose from, and this created some difficulty in deciding on the standouts, since the aim was to be as inclusive and as diverse as possible.
The 74th edition of the magazine also has features on the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, designer Roger Gary’s famous Aqua Couture collection, the Rupununi Wildlife Research Unit and much more.
In addition, readers can expect to see all the usual articles that they have grown accustomed to reading over the years.
GEM, which was launched nearly 13 years ago as the nation’s first bi-monthly international glossy magazine, has managed to maintain its concept of transcending race, politics, religion and class to positively highlight people, places and events at home and in the Diaspora.
This is done through easy-to-read human interest stories, trendy articles and high- quality pictures.
The magazine, which has grown tremendously in popularity, has a large list of newsstand buyers and subscribers in the Caribbean, North America and Europe.
The publication can also be read Online at www.gemmagonline.com or www.issuu.com/cmgguyana; it is also quite active on social media.
