Investigators are currently at the home of former Home Affairs Minister, Clement Rohee after reports of a robbery.
The incident reportedly took place at Eccles, East Bank Demerara, where Rohee has been living since the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) lost the elections in May 2015. The Guyana Chronicle has been unable to confirm the details of the robbery, however our Chief Reporter, Ariana Gordon is at the scene and will provide more information as it becomes available.
Police investigators have confirmed the robbery but would not divulge the details, citing its sensitive nature. Investigators have since spoken to several neigbours, hoping to review camera footage in the area.
Rohee is a PPP Parliamentarian and is also the General Secretary of the Opposition party.
