ANSA McAl, through its STAG beer brand has come on board with the sixth edition of the Guyana Floodlight Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA) for the Guyana softball Cup, set for November 4-6.During a brief ceremony yesterday at the company’s Beterverwagting office, Brand Co-ordinator Lindon Henry contended that the company is happy to be on board for its third year.
Vice-president Jilall Deodass took the time out to thank the company.
“There are about 24 participating teams from countries such as Canada, the United States of America (New York, Florida) as well as Essequibo, Berbice and Demerara. So it’s a big international tournament, ” he said.
Meanwhile, President Ramchand Ragbeer contended that the competition will feature major giveaways for fans attending the event, including four trips for a pair of persons each.
As has been the case in the previous five editions of the competition, the ‘finals day’ will be the showpiece with a grand day of softball cricket and family entertainment, starting at 11:00hrs and concluding under floodlights, at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground, Queenstown.
