Mother on bail for embezzling over $2M

A 42- YEAR- OLD mother of four was on Wednesday placed on $40,000 bail after she appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court charged with defrauding her employer, Country Pride, of over $ 2M.It is alleged that between January 1, 2015 and July 18, 2016 in Georgetown, Pauline Stewart, while employed as a Clerk at Country Pride embezzled $2,085,305.

It is alleged that the money was given to her to be passed on to her employer, Raymond Butch Parmonand but she converted same to her own use.

Stewart was granted bail and ordered to report to the Brickdam Police Station every Friday. She is slated to return to court on November 3, 2016.
