IN a double-header in the STAG Elite League Finale on Wednesday, Alpha United FC trounced Monedderlust FC 3-1 while Pele FC held their own against Guyana Defence Force (GDF), in the second game with a one-goal victory.Alpha United FC found the back of the net three times, once in the 31st minute with Colin Nelson, again a minute later with Anthony Abrams and the last goal in the 84th minute with Dwight Peters. For Monedderlust FC Kevin Layne scored a 39th minute goal.
In the other game, Gregory Richardson scored the only goal in the 32nd minute for Pele men as they needled Buxton United.
Games will continue tonight at 1830hrs with Slingerz taking on GFC and Fruta Conquerors clashing with the GDF.
