The Guyana Police Force has destroyed a half – acre size field with marijuana plants, which were under cultivation at 14 Miles, Upper Mazaruni on Sunday, January 31.

A police statement detailed that the field comprised of approximately 375 plants at an average height of one (1) metre. A camp with 1 kilogram 521 grams of dried marijuana was also found.

The field and the camp were destroyed and a man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
