LABA/Malta Supreme Basketball Championship The unbeaten Raiders battle the ‘raging’ Bulls

IT WILL be the experienced and tried Retrieve Raiders against the Half Mile Bulls’ bursting vigour of youth clashing tomorrow night when the respective sides meet in the final of the Malta Supreme basketball championship at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard court in Linden. This final is set to bounce off at 21.00hrs with an ‘East’ versus ‘West’ Under-19 all-star game being played at 19:00hrs.
Retrieve Raiders will be heading into tonight’s final with a host of former national players in their line-up; captain Neil Marks, Dwayne ‘Brown Sugar’ Roberts, Abdulla Hamid and Marvin Hartman along with current national Keon Cameron and Louis Webster along with the promising players like Alexander Rose and Duel Garner.
The Bulls have an abundance of youths with the young three current national players in their captain Terron Welch, Dennis Niles and Michael Turner and the likes of the busy Keifer ‘Skipper’ Tappin, Shane Lewis, Kevin Easton to complement their unit.
With so much at stake in this Banks DIH-sponsored tournament where cash incentives, trophies and medals, the Bulls will be hard to beat with their fast-paced running game, but the Raiders with all their experience will have to come up with a strategy to counter that running game style of the Bulls.
