YOUNG Warriors Cricket Club (YWCC) and Canje Pathfinders will clash in the final of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB)-sponsored Ramnarine Appiah T20 tournament on Sunday at the picturesque Cumberland Cricket Club of East Canje, Berbice.The grand finale is set to commence at 13:30hrs and promises to be an exciting affair with the visitors having in their lineup, Videsh Singh, the most prolific scorer in the competition so far.
He will be supported by Kishan Gangaram and Kishan Sobhai among others.
On the other hand, the slightly favoured home team is made up of a nice blend of youth and experience, being led by former national senior cricketer, coach, selector and administrator Hubern Evans.
The aggressive Mortimer Fraser and Berbice youth batsman Alex Algoo will lead the batting, with support from the in-form Rudolph Baker, all-rounder Zaheer Moakhan and former national junior cricketer Balram Samaroo.
Further, Betsy Ground Triple Star will square off with the exciting Kendalls Union A in the third place playoff from 09:30hrs.
Cash incentives and trophies totalling over $100 000 will be up for grabs.
