Haslington man jailed for cocaine trafficking

A HASLINGTON, East Coast Demerara man was on Friday jailed for three years and fined $30,000 after being found guilty for cocaine trafficking. Police said in a release that about 11:30 hrs Friday ranks conducted a search on the home of Randolph Moore, 58 years, of Haslington New Scheme, ECD, during which 11 grams of cocaine was found.
Moore was charged with trafficking in narcotics and appeared before Magistrate Ms. Alicia George at the Vigilance Magistrate Court. He pleaded “guilty” and was sentenced to three years imprisonment and fined$30,000.
Meanwhile, in another case during Friday,the police again conducted a search on a house at Middle Walk, Buxton, ECD, during which 355 grams of marijuana were found. A man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
