Guyana sink to third in CMRC Country standings … Trinidad lead, Barbados second

GUYANA have sunk to third place in the Country standings for the Caribbean Motor Racing Championships following mixed results last weekend in Barbados. Guyana on 511 points trail third leg hosts Barbados (533 points) and Trinidad and Tobago, who maintained their grip on the championship lead so far with a whopping 658 points.
Jamaica sit fourth with 369 points while the Cayman Islands, with a lone competitor, have 138 points.
In the Seaboard Marine Group 4, Guyanese Kristian Jeffrey has already won the title following a dominant performance at all three legs (Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados).
The 2014 champion, soon to be crowned 2015 winner, has 183 points – more than enough to comfortably hand him the first-place trophy over Trinidad’s Kristian Boodoosingh who lies second with 101 points.
Third in that championship is Gerard Carrington of Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) with 58 points; 4th Jamaican (JAM) George Bayley 51 points; 5th is Barbadian (BAR) Stuart Williams 48 points and 6th Franklyn Boodram (T&T) 45points.
In the Seaboard Marine Group 3, Gary Barrett of the Cayman Islands has the lead with 138 points while Trinidad representative Paul Vieira sits second with 108 points.
Guyana’s Danny Persaud is down in third with 70 points while fourth place is held jointly by Natasha Chang (JAM) & Kurt Thompson BAR) 62points.
In the CMRC Group 2, Marc Gill of T&T leads with 150 points and Barbadian Mark Thompson with 90 points is currently in second.
Jamaica’s Jordan Powell (75 points) is third ahead of Guyana’s Shiaraz Roshandin who has 61 points; 5th is Mark Williams (T&T) 55 points while 6th place belongs to Damien Nesbitt (T&T) with 52 points.
The Super-stock group has Guyana’s Stephen Vieira leading with 133 points, his cousin Elliot second with 119 points and Jamaica’s Robert McDonald third on 45 points
Guyana’s Joel Neblett and Jamaica’s David Bell are tied fourth with 36 points while Guyana’s Matthew Vieira is 6th with 28 points
The fourth and final leg of the CMRC 2015 will take place in Guyana at the South Dakota Circuit from November 14 to 15.
