NATIONAL cyclist Alanzo Greaves rode consistently throughout the six-race MangoSeed Restaurant – UNITED Graveyard series in Brooklyn, New York.According to Guyana Cycle News, despite only winning one race in the series, the Guyanese was adjudged the overall winner of the event, since, of the six races of the series, Greaves placed among
the top 10 finishers in each of the others.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Adam Alexander placed second in the overall standing with two victories.
Three other Guyanese cyclists – Hamza Eastman, Jermaine Burrowes and Raynauth Jeffrey – also won races during the series.
Eastman, Guyana’s double national road race champion, won the final race of the series last Sunday while his Guyanese colleagues Jeffrey, Stephano Husbands, Greaves, Jermaine Burrowes and Godfrey Pollydore placed 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th and 12th in the race.
