Caesar on fire at Commonwealth Youth Games

 

COMPTON Caesar is in the form of his life representing Guyana at the Commonwealth Youth Games 2015 currently being contested in Samoa.`
Caesar followed up his personal best (PB) 100m time of 10.60 yesterday to set another personal best in the 200m heats.
Caesar ran in the 3rd of 4 heats of the 200m, placing second with a time of 21.38, to qualify for the semi-finals later today
His run was the fifth fastest in the overall heat session.
Guyana went down in Squash Doubles
Taylor Fernandes and Larissa Wiltshire, Guyana’s female squash team, faced the number one-ranked Malaysia in the doubles.
They lost 11-3, 11-3 in a two best-of- three games
Meanwhile, Benjamin Mekdeci played against Thomas da Silva (Gibraltar) in the semi-finals of the Plate and won 3-0 (14-12, 11-9 and 11-3). He later took on Jason Doyle (St Vincent & The Grenadines) for the Plate Final for the prize of a traditional wooden bowl but lost 3-1
Mekdeci lost the first game 12-10 then won the 2nd 11-7, before Doyle won the 3rd 11-2 and a close-fought fourth 10-12.
Mixed doubles action will pit Mekdeci and Taylor against Norfolk Island and then Malaysia, while the women’s doubles will continue with matches against Australia, New
