DeNobrega outfoxed ‘Park Ranger’ to win the spoils in United Bikers’ `Dash for Cash’ cycle race

Paul DeNobrega outfoxed Robin `Park Ranger’ Persaud to win the feature 40-lap event of the United Bikers’ `Dash for Cash’ cycle race in the National Park yesterday.
Upon winning the event, DeNobrega walked away with $48,000 in prize money as he won the overall race and eight prime prizes including one for $30,000.Persaud, who placed second, was presented with $17,000 while Mario King finished third and was presented with $8,000 for his efforts.
DeNobrega made his move in company with Persaud from after 20 laps were completed and the duo never relinquished the lead.
As the race progressed, the two kept extending the lead, but after 30 laps were completed, Delroy Hinds, King and Mark Harris jumped the main chasing pack and started to close in on DeNobrega and Persaud but their effort was not enough to connect.
Coming for the finish, DeNobrega led Persaud at the 159-metre mark but rounding the final turn for the finish, Persaud attacked on the inside and sailed past DeNobrega and looked all over a winner, but with 10 metres remaining, DeNobrega changed into overdrive and pointed his front wheel cross the finish line to take the spoils.
King then outsprinted the chasing bunch to take third.
