FIRST, my sincere greetings to you and your staff. I spent the year of 1964/5 in BG on VSO [the English Peace Corps] teaching at the Government Technical Institute (right beside Queen’s College) and retain the happiest memories of that wonderful year.I hope that this e-mail would establish electronic contact. I am writing to advise of two things: I am planning to visit Guyana later this year, and would welcome your advice about the present situation, and in particular the places to visit.

I have written a book, the title of which is ‘With my Little Eye’, and as the full extent of my activities in BG are described [including assisting in the removal of Cheddi Jagan], students of history may find such of interest.
