SCOTIABANK, yesterday, renewed sponsorships with charitable organizations, as it made monetary donations to Rotary Club of Stabroek and Step by Step Foundation.

At the bank’s Robb Street, Georgetown headquarters, Rotary Club of Stabroek got $1M for its literacy programme while Step by Step received $3M to acquire a speech therapist for the organisation’s school for autistic children.

Both non-governmental organisations (NGOs) secured the same amount of funding last year for their projects, as part of the Scotiabank Bright Future Programme, through which money is donated towards philanthropic initiatives benefitting children in the areas of health, education and social well-being.
In response yesterday, the representatives of both beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Scotiabank for the kind gestures they acknowledged will go a long way in the development of education and children.
