Over 100 international cyclists for Tobago classic

SCARBOROUGH, Tobago (CMC) – Over 110 international and regional cyclists from 25 countries have been down to participate in the Tobago International Cycling Classic (TICC) which involves six days of racing from today.

The cycling classic is expected to reach fever pitch with the main event, the World-ranked UCI tour of Tobago, in which cyclists will confront scenic but unforgiving hilly terrain.
Organisers have also introduced a series of Mountain Bike races through the scenic trails of Tobago’s rainforest in an effort to broaden the appeal of the TICC.
Twenty teams have been confirmed for Division One including riders from Denmark, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, United States, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Jamaica, St Lucia, Barbados and St Vincent and the Grenadines.
International viewers in over 200 cities around the world are expected to watch the event on ESPN.
