Living Clean Grocery and Variety Store dominoes : …Sammy’s Six take top honours

SAMMY’S Six emerged winners of the feature dominoes tournament played last Wednesday night at Everest Cricket Club pavilion and sponsored by Living Clean Grocery and Variety Store of Station Street, Kitty.
Led by consistent scores of 15 games each from Navin “Sixes” Samaroo, Soomdat “Rico” Jeet and Chibar “Tractor” Seopaul, Sammy’s Six totalled 75 games to get the better of Shew’s Six on 75 and Gary’s Six who ended in the cellar with 68.
For Shew’s Six, the top players were Ron “Stiff Card” Callender with 15 games and Ramroop “Spoon” Sukhai 13, with Dino “Slam Down” Bissessar and Tony “Rebel” Ali chalking up 15 and 14 games respectively for Gary’s Six.
Each team had one player going down lover’s lane, with Claude “The Bigger” Stewart of Sammy’s Six, Kedar “Switcher” Seopaul for Shew’s Six and skipper Gary “Mels” Deonarine of Gary’s Six and while the winning team collected a trophy, the top player in each side namely: Samaroo (Sammy’s Six), Callender (Shew Six) and Bissessar (Gary’s Six), each received a jersey.
