Six more doctors join Chinese Medical Brigade here

SIX more doctors have joined the Chinese Medical Brigade who have been in Guyana for the past three years.
The announcement was made yesterday after Minister of Health, Dr. Bheri Ramsaran met with them at his Brickdam, Georgetown office.

He said the additional six will be divided between Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) and the Linden Hospital Complex.
The new arrivals visited the Linden Hospital on Wednesday and sent their report to the minister.
Deputy Chinese Ambassador to Guyana, Mr. Li Qinfeng said his government has treated the Guyanese people like family and would continue to do so.
He said, further, that the Chinese doctors are continuing to serve the Guyanese whole-heartedly.
Minister Ramsaran said his ministry will prolong relations with the Chinese Health Sector so as to improve the local counterpart.
The additional doctors are expected to start functioning in their various fields by Monday, practising traditional Chinese medicine, neurology and general surgery, as well.
