CALVIN Francis (no address given) appeared before Magistrate Allan Wilson on Monday, charged with break and enter and larceny.
Particulars of the offence said, on April 11 in Georgetown, the 28-year-old broke and entered the dwelling house of Jennifer Budhoo and stole clothing worth $360,000, one flat screen television valued $60,000, one Republic of Guyana passport and travel documents with a value of $400,000.
Police Corporal Renetta Bentham, prosecuting, successfully objected to bail on the grounds of the nature and seriousness of the offence and that the defendant, who pleaded not guilty, does not have a fixed place of abode.
The prosecutor added that Francis was released three weeks ago after serving three years imprisonment for a similar crime.
Francis will make his next Court appearance on April 30.
