SHAWN Anderson (no address given) was ordered to post $20,000 bail yesterday, when he faced an unlawful assault charge before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell.

Particulars of the offence said, on April 2, in Quamina Street, Georgetown, the defendant unlawfully assaulted his ‘child mother’, Simone Yankana.
The defendant pleaded not guilty but Police Corporal, Renatta Bentham, prosecuting, said the virtual complainant was at home in bed, feeding her two-week-old baby when Anderson kicked her because of his annoyance over an argument they had just before.
Anderson was also put on a bond to keep the peace pending the outcome of the case, which will be called again on May 13.
