AIR Services Limited (ASL) has answered the call to facilitate the participation of a number of women from the hinterland in a symposium and exhibition slated for International Women’s Day tomorrow at the Guyana International Conference Centre, Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara. This year’s observance is being held under the theme ‘The Gender Agenda: Gaining Momentum’, said an ASL release.
A number of female entrepreneurs from the North West District, Region 1 were flown in to Ogle yesterday and a lone representative from Rupununi, Region 9 is on a flight today, said a press release from Air Services Limited.
These women producers will get the chance not only to participate in the workshop, but to exhibit their products. ASL will also be arranging accommodation for them while in Georgetown.
ASL has always been proud of its recognition of women and the positions they occupy in the organisation, the release added.
