FIVE matches are left to complete the first round of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) 2012-2013 Super League which is interestingly poised.

Current leaders BK Western Tigers are on 17 points with one game in hand and that is against defending champions Alpha United who lie in third position on 13 points but with three games to play, including the Western Tigers clash, which is set for this Sunday at the Georgetown Football Club ground from 17:00hrs.
Tomorrow at the same venue, a double-header is carded from 18:00hrs when Pele, who are fourth in the standings with 12 points, will lock horns with the seventh-placed Amelia’s Ward Panthers.
The feature game which kicks off at 20:00hrs brings together Alpha and the Ancient County’s BCC Rosignol United who are 8th in the point standings, with a similar number of points.
The remaining two first-round games are set for next Wednesday at the same venue when Uitvlugt Warriors come up against BV Triumph United in the opening salvo, while Alpha conclude their first round quota when they take on Den Amstel Porknockers, with the second round action kicking off on Sunday, March 10.
