When will opposition supporters emancipate their minds?

ONE has to wonder when the opposition supporters will be able to emancipate their minds to better understand their parties’ policies and actions and change their perceptions of what is happening in parliament.

Besides, blocking some funding in the budget, the opposition seems would have enacted no specific legislation to better the lives of their supporters.

The government seems to have a stealth public relations and communications policy, now you see it – now you don’t. It seems that some of the best arguments of the government are left to the Chronicle to print and to be spoken of only in parliament.  Unfortunately, opposition supporters were told that the Chronicle is a government propaganda organ not to be read or believed. Since not too many hear or understand what  is said in parliament, (mis) information is left to other media.

Opposition supporters for instance, seemed unaware of the points made by the AG that other officials including opposition leaders have and continue to have the same pension benefits that the opposition is seeking to take away from Mr. Jadgeo only.  If this information were made more widespread, perhaps, even a die- hard supporter would ask why not limit these “excessive” benefits for all officials.
Too many times, the government positions are not properly and promptly explained to the general public, thereby contributing too many misconceptions that hurt them and the nation at large.   Hopefully, some official will “bother” to read comments like this, since it is not what they think they know but what the ordinary people are told and believe.
