A CUSTOMER appeared in court yesterday, charged with assaulting a member of the Royal Castle restaurant staff.

Desmond Jack (no address given) pleaded not guilty, before Magistrate Leron Daley, to the charge which alleged that, on January 25, he unlawfully assaulted Marcey Otto, an employee of the Camp Street, Georgetown eating house.
Police Corporal Vinetta Pindar, prosecuting,said the defendant went into the place to purchase food when the virtual complainant was mopping the floor and she, accidentally, hit him.
The defendant became annoyed and slapped her, the prosecutor said.
Jack was put on $30,000 bail and the case was out off to February 26.
