Team Guyana makes impressive start

BACK Circle, formally known as Team Guyana, warmed up for the Guinness Caribbean Street Challenge football tournament, by inflicting a five-nil whipping on D’Urban Street, when action in the Banks DIH-organised and sponsored Guinness ‘Greatest of the Street’ exhibition competition kicked off last Sunday night at the New Albouystown Basketball Court. Also in winners’ row were former champions Broad Street, Alexander Village and Albouystown, who defeated Tiger Bay, West Front Road and Island All Stars respectively.
However, all eyes were on Team Guyana, who got goals from Phillip Rowley (11th), skipper Daniel Favorite (16th), Vincent Thomas (19th), Allan Kennedy (22nd) and Dexter Griffith in the 30th minute, to steer them home.
